Impact report design: outcomes donors can see
An impact report answers one question for the people who fund you: what changed because of the money. Foundations, CSR committees and individual donors read it to decide whether to give again, and more of them now ask for outcomes, not a count of activities.
We design impact reports from your figures, survey results, stories and photographs: outcomes set apart from outputs, every chart drawn to scale from one table, the cost per outcome stated, and the targets you missed shown honestly. You get a print PDF, a light PDF for email and WhatsApp, and a web edition donors can open as one link.

What an impact report should include
The problem, in one figure
Where you work and why it matters, with one number a reader remembers.
Outcomes, with a baseline
What changed for the people you serve, each against where it started.
Outputs, kept separate
Visits, trainings and meetings are the work you did, not the result. They get their own column.
How you measured
Who counted, how, and against what comparison. Donors trust a method they can read.
What you did not achieve
A target you missed, and what you will change. It makes the rest believable.
Money and cost per outcome
Where funds came from, where they went, and what one result cost.
Stories and next year
One or two people's stories, and the goals for the coming year.
Outcomes, not outputs
The commonest weakness in impact reports is a page of activity counts presented as impact: 41,300 home visits says the team was busy, not that anything changed. We set outcomes and outputs in different colours and columns, so a reader always knows which is which, and we ask for the baseline behind every outcome figure.
For foundations, CSR partners and donors abroad
Indian NGOs reporting to foundations in the UK and US, and to CSR committees in India, need one report that reads well to both. We design in English, add Hindi or Marathi editions if you need them, and quote in US dollars outside India: from US$399 for an 8–16 page impact report (₹12,000 in India).

Studio specimens, not client work. Nuajibana Trust is an 8-page impact report for a fictional maternal and newborn health trust in Odisha; Panghat Foundation is a 16-page NGO annual report. Their names and figures are invented. All our work.
Web edition
The same issue can also be delivered as a web edition: an interactive digital magazine with text that fits any phone, video and links that work, and a reader report of opens, reading depth and time spent. One link to share by email or WhatsApp.

Issue launch kit
The posts that launch your issue, made from it and in its design, in your name and your voice: a cover reveal for the feed and stories, a LinkedIn carousel of the main idea, quote cards, a chart card and a note for WhatsApp, each with a suggested caption. Nothing on them mentions us.
Issue launch kit: about 10 pieces, US$99 (₹6,000 in India) per issue.

Questions we get asked
- What is an impact report?
- A short report, often 8 to 16 pages, that shows funders what changed because of their money: outcomes against a baseline, how they were measured, one or two stories, and where the money went.
- What is the difference between outcomes and outputs?
- Outputs are the work you did: visits made, people trained, kits handed out. Outcomes are the changes that followed: more safe births, higher incomes, children back in school. An impact report leads with outcomes and keeps outputs separate.
- How long should an impact report be?
- Eight to sixteen pages for most organisations. Our Nuajibana Trust sample is eight pages and covers the problem, outcomes, a programme, a story, measurement, money and next year's goals.
- Should we show targets we missed?
- Yes. A report with every target met reads like marketing. Showing one miss, why it happened and what you will change makes the outcomes you did reach believable.
- Can you make it from our spreadsheet and Word draft?
- Yes. Send the figures, the draft, the survey results and the photographs. We edit for length, draw every chart from your figures and tell you what is missing. We do not collect or verify your data.
- How long does it take and what does it cost?
- The first full proof comes within 10 working days of complete material, with two rounds of revisions included. An 8–16 page impact report starts at US$399 (₹12,000 in India), fixed in writing before work starts.
