Personal and legacy magazine design
Not every magazine is for an organisation. A ninetieth birthday, a family history assembled over years, a retirement after four decades in one trade, a photographer's body of work with nowhere to live — all of these make better magazines than they make photo albums.
This is the smallest thing we make and often the one people care most about. The brief is usually a box of photographs and a set of stories that have only ever been told out loud.

Every project is quoted before it starts. Prices are per issue, in US dollars, and include two rounds of revisions.
Questions we get asked
- I have photographs but the writing is not done.
- That is the normal starting point. Send what exists — notes, letters, captions, a recorded conversation transcribed. We will tell you the gaps and the order the story wants to be in.
- Can I get it printed?
- Yes. You receive a press-ready PDF that any print shop can produce, in any quantity, at whatever moment suits you. We do not mark up printing.
