Print magazine design, ready for your printer

Every issue is delivered as a press-ready PDF with bleed and the colour profile your printer asks for, so it can go to a local press or an online magazine printer such as Mixam without changes. You also get a web PDF, cover images for social posts and, on 24 pages and more, a web edition.

    Copy, captions, photographs, your logo. A rough list of topics is enough to begin — we will tell you what is missing.

    We design the issue

    Cover, grid, spreads, typography, image treatment. You see a full proof of the whole issue, not a moodboard.

    A print-ready PDF, a web-optimised PDF, and cover images sized for LinkedIn and email.

Questions about magazine design

How much does magazine design cost?
For clients outside India, from US$249 for an 8–12 page personal magazine to US$1,290 for a 40–60 page flagship issue; a 24–32 page company magazine starts at US$749. In India the same work starts at ₹8,000. Every price is fixed in a written quote before work starts.
What do you need from us to start?
Your text, one document per article; your photographs as original files; figures as a spreadsheet; and your logo and brand guidelines if you have them. A rough list of topics is enough to begin: we tell you what is missing and agree an issue plan before design starts.
How long does an issue take?
The first full proof arrives 10 working days after your material is complete. Two revision rounds follow. Later issues of the same magazine turn round faster because the grid and templates already exist.
Do you write the articles?
No. We edit for length and fit and rewrite headings and captions so they work in the layout, but we do not write features from scratch. If copy is missing we tell you exactly what and where.
Are you a magazine design company or a freelancer?

Do you design magazines for publishers and custom publishing?
Yes. Custom publishing (a brand or member magazine published by a company or association) and business titles that publish monthly or bimonthly are a good fit: the first issue builds the grid and templates, and booked issues cost 10–20% less.
Can you work with our printer?
Yes. Send your printer's specification and we build the print-ready PDF to it, whether a local press or an online magazine printer such as Mixam. We do not buy print or mark it up.
Can you design a magazine for print and for screen?
Yes. Every issue is delivered as a print-ready PDF for any printer and a web-optimised PDF for email and your website, plus cover images sized for LinkedIn and email.
