Pune Fashion Trends
Legacy Edition, June 2026
Fashion covers live or die on the photograph, so the job is mostly restraint: find where the type can sit without touching the face, the hands or the movement of the fabric, and put nothing anywhere else.
Here the dupatta fills the upper right and the face sits high left, which leaves the dark lower third free. The title goes there, and the cover line is written as copy rather than left as placeholder text.

Decisions
The masthead goes low, not high
PUNE FASHION sits across the dark skirt instead of across the sky. At the top it would have fought the raised arm and the dupatta; at the foot the black velvet gives the white serif a ground it needs no panel or shadow to read on.
TRENDS is tracked wide, not set bigger
The second word is spaced out to the measure of the first instead of being scaled up. One serif in two treatments gives the title a hierarchy without bringing in a second typeface.
A standfirst that is real copy
Three centred lines under a hairline rule name the city, the streets and the fabrics: Koregaon Park, Laxmi Road, velvet, organza. A reader learns what the issue covers before opening it, which lorem ipsum or a slogan would never tell them.
Edition and date pinned to the corners
LEGACY EDITION top left, NEW COLLECTION and JUNE 2026 in the two bottom corners. Everything secondary sits at the edges, so the centre of the cover belongs to the photograph.
