Sanjha Woodworks

Collections catalogue

Sanjha Woodworks is a fictional maker and this is a sample from our studio: the catalogue a furniture exporter sends to buyers abroad, so the buyer can quote back by code.

A catalogue works when a buyer can find a piece, check its size and order it without writing back to ask. So every piece has a code, a table row and a finish, and every collection opens with a photograph that sets the mood before the grid.

Decisions

  • A code on every piece

HV-101, SC-205, TR-301: each code appears in the caption and in the collection's table, so a buyer can order straight from the page.

  • One opener per collection

Each of the five collections opens with a single large photograph and a short note on the wood and the making, then moves to pieces and tables.

  • Materials and care as a page

Sheesham, mango, teak and cane are explained with grain close-ups and finish swatches, the questions buyers ask before they place an order.

  • Export terms in plain words

The ordering page sets out the minimum order, packing, lead time and delivery terms, so the catalogue does the first conversation.
