Studio specimen · Festival programme
Taal
Pune Nritya Utsav, festival programme, October 2026
A festival programme is held in the hand in a dark auditorium and kept afterwards. It should look like the stage itself.
This specimen keeps the page almost black, with the dancer lit at the lower right and a thin, tall masthead in temple gold above.

Decisions
A dark stage, one light
The photograph is already a stage: black around, warm light on the dancer. The cover adds nothing that breaks that.
A thin, tall masthead
Taal is set in a high-contrast serif in gold, like the lettering on an old festival hoarding.
The schedule as the lead
7 nights of dance on one stage, with the four dance forms and the venue: the information a festival-goer opens the programme for.
