Sitara
Issue 01, The bridal beauty issue
Sitara is a sample issue from our studio: a beauty and jewellery glossy for the wedding months, with its own type and colour so it looks nothing like our couture sample.
A beauty magazine lives on close-ups that stay sharp and on instructions a reader can follow, so the steps are in plain words with no brand names, and the jewellery pages explain the craft rather than sell it.

Decisions
One model, three pages
The beauty story follows one model from the opener to the close-up to the notes on how the look was built, all from one shoot.
A headline set by hand
Ivory and kohl is set one word to a line, a choice a designer makes for one page, not a setting a template repeats.
A change of pace
The stone-setter's profile sits on a near-black page with a tilted print, so the issue slows down before the last stories.
A studio page at the back
The issue closes on our studio page: who made it, and how to reach us on WhatsApp or by email.
